Joy Persall - Executive Director

JOYJoy Persall, holds a B.A. in Multicultural Nonprofit Administration, was previously the Associate Director of The Headwaters Foundation for Justice, and brings leadership experience in innovative community based grantmaking programs. Joy was instrumental in the expansion of a $1 million endowed fund for Native American projects in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In addition, she directed the Capacity Building program that provided technical assistance resources for grassroots organizations, and served as a bridge between the grassroots and philanthropic communities.

Joy has completed an Emerging Philanthropic Leaders Fellowship from the National Council on Foundations, served on the Board of Minnesota Alliance for Progressive Action and The Funding Exchange. She currently serves on the Board of The National Network of Grantmakers, is chair of grantmaking for Changemakers, and serves on Headwaters Foundations Fund of the Sacred Circle community grantmaking committee.

Currently residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joy is Ontario Ojibwe, mother, grandmother, activist, and has committed her work and life to raising awareness of issues of diversity and inclusion and working for justice and equity.

Neely M. Snyder - Administrative Associate

NEELYNeely M. Snyder was formerly an Administrative Assistant for Venpro Company. She brings four years of nonprofit professional experience through her work with NEST/SE Way To Grow as Office Manager for East Side Neighborhood Services, Inc. of Minneapolis. Neely has served as a member of multiple committees such as the East Side Diversity Committee whose mission consisted of educating and creating awareness of diversity.

Neely holds a degree in Multi-Media Computer Graphics as well as a PC Specialist certification. She is mother and wife who enjoys spending time with her family and has a passion for art and loves the outdoors. She is affiliated with Red Lake and Mille Lacs of Minnesota and is a member of the St. Croix Wisconsin Tribe of Ojibwe.
