Winona LaDuke, (Anishinaabe) of the White Earth Land Recovery Project and HONOR THE EARTH continues the discussion of the Future of Native Philanthropy from the perspective of the political environment and grassroots organizing for change in Indian Country.

9:15 A.M. Breakout sessions
Nonprofit Fundraising
This workshop will provide the attendee a better understanding of how private foundations work, the best means of approaching these foundations, and ways to improve their fundraising efforts with such foundations.

Marketing Principles
This session will provide an overview of marketing priorities and concepts.

Online Fundraising
In this session, presenters will provide an overview of the growth and importance of online fundraising as well as offer practical working knowledge, tips and resources on: how to build an online giving program; strategies for donor recruitment and engagement; social networking; the use of new media and e-marketing; and e-advocacy.

Tribal Charitable Giving Programs
This session will host a panel of three tribes with casinos to discuss what role their charitable giving programs have had on building their community.
